52 Weeks of Personal Genealogy & History – Songs

Week 26. Songs. What was the #1 song during the week of your birth? Enter your birth date at This Day in Music (http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthdayno1) and find out. If you were born before 1946, you can enter the year of your marriage, the birth dates of your children or some other significant event.
52 Weeks of Personal Genealogy & History by Amy Coffin is a series of weekly blogging prompts (one for each week of 2011) that invite genealogists and others to record memories and insights about their own lives for future descendants.

I went to the website above and put in my birth date.  The number one song that week in the U.S. was “Come See About Me” – The Supremes.

I decided to try a few more dates for fun as was suggested by Randy Seaver in his post Saturday Night Genealogy Fun – Number #1 Songs at Genea-Musings

  • My 15th birthday was “Babe” – Styx.
  • The day of my high school graduation was “Flashdance…What a Feeling” – Irene Cara
  • My wedding day was “Nothing Compares To You” – Sinead O’Connor
  • Day of my daughter’s birth was “Macarena” – Los Del Rio
